550 UPWUpload\Julian_date\filename

RESOLUTION

Select a method to resolve the issue based on the cause specific to your installation.

Method 1: Use Registry Editor to modify the UploadFolderUNC value.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Alto Imaging Technologies cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.

To use Registry Editor, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, and then type regedit in the Open box.
  2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
  3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alto Imaging\UltraPrintWeb\Settings\
  4. Set the UploadFolderUNC value to: \\ServerName\UPWUpload where ServerName is the name of the computer hosting the UPWUpload share

Method 2: Set Write access permission on the UPWUpload virtual directory.

  1. Launch Internet Information Services Manager.
  2. In the Internet Information Services windows, expand the server, expand the Web Sites folder, and then expand Default FTP Site.
  3. Right-click the UPWUpload folder, and then click Properties.
  4. Select the Write check box, and then click OK.

Method 3: Change the NTFS permissions on the UPWUpload folder.

  1. Use Windows Explorer to locate C:\Inetpub\ftproot\UPWUpload.
  2. Right-click the UPWUpload folder, click Properties, and then select the Security tab.
  3. Add the IWAM_MachineName, and IUSR_MachineName accounts if necessary. Grant Modify permissions to both accounts.
