Output Device Connected to Canon M1/M2 Requests B4 Paper When Printing Letter Size Tabs Created Using Arranger

SYMPTOMS
Output device connected to Canon M1/M2 requests B4 paper when printing letter size tabs created using Arranger.

CAUSE
Tabs were created using a page created or scanned at 300dpi.

RESOLUTION
Create tabs using a page created or scanned at 600dpi. See the following user guides for help creating tabs in Arranger and printing to a device using the Canon M1/M2 controller:

"FTP Connection Error" When Using the AltoPrint DM9110 Printer Driver

SYMPTOMS
When printing to a DigiMaster 9110 using the AltoPrint DM9110 printer driver, the following error occurs:

    FTP Connection Error:
The server name or address could not be resolved"
However, printing using Custom Print from within Arranger or UltraPrint works correctly.

CAUSE
A '/' (forward slash) character is used in the image path URI specified in the Custom Print interface configuration.

RESOLUTION
Replace all '/' (forward slash) characters with '\' characters (back slash) in the image path URI specified in the Custom Print interface configuration.

MORE INFORMATION
The Win32 spool subsystem expects back slash characters in the image path URI when used to communicate via FTP.

"Unable to get PC ID: Unable to connect to server." Error When Using UKPCID.exe

Symptoms

When creating a hardware identifier using UKPCID.exe you receive the following error:

Unable to get PC ID: Unable to connect to server.

Cause

Windows Management Instrumentation service not running

Resolution

Use the following steps to start the Windows Management Instrumentation service:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel
  2. Double-click Administrative Tools
  3. Double-click Services
  4. Select Windows Management Instrumentation service.
  5. Click the Start Service button on the toolbar

UKPCID.exe is used to generate a hardware identifier that can be used to create a unique software activation key for use with UltraWare applications. The application enumerates the hardware and OS characteristics of the computer using the Windows Management Instrumentation service.
